The AVT Smart conversion makes a useful zero polluting 2 seat urban runabout. Based on the MCC Smart this is a substantial well engineered vehicle designed for todays roads with all the safety features expected in a modern Western car.

AVT offers a comprehensive conversion kit specific to the Smart. The kit includes the 7.5kW/25kW AC motor and can be supplied for either lead acid or lithium battery systems. Top speed is around 60mph to 70 mph and accleration and hill climbing performance are similar to the orignial petrol car's. With lithium batteries and careful driving the range can be over 100 miles. The kit price excludes batteries which should be ordered separately.
