• 15-17.5 kW/30-45kW AC Induction Motor

This three-phase AC induction motor is similar in appearance to the M-ACI-C200SHS motor but has a longer frame.

It can be wound for higher power output at nominal voltages of 72V to 144V.

Please advise your preferred operating voltage.

The 1 hour and peak power outputs with an 80V battery (see performance data link) are conservative and can be extrapolated at 96V to 15kW and around 30kW peak, and to around 17.5kW and 45kW peak at 144V, both at around 500A peak from the battery.

A cooling fan is included and there is aluminium heat-sinking on the case exterior.

The peak efficiency of this motor is similar to a DC motor of similar size, however, in common with many other AC induction motors it tends to maintain higher efficiency over a wider rev and load range.

With a suitable matched controller, such as our CR-ACIS96 or CR-ACIC80, the torque can be tailored to achieve a very uniform curve with high stall torque.

Forward Reverse switching and regenerative braking are far easier to achieve with these AC motors and control systems than with many DC motors.
